Western Shores: A Journey through Oregon’s Pacific Northwest

Decrease Font Size Increase Font Size Text Size Print This Page

My friend Harrison Zost and I flew to the West Coast for a week to explore Oregon. We traveled from Portland to Mt Hood and The Columbia River Gorge and through the Tillamook Forest to the breathtaking coastline. We camped in different state parks every night and stayed in a hostel in Portland where we met some fellow travelers. Our week was filled exploring this amazing state’s truly diverse landscape — we hiked through lush, moss-filled rain forests and up a few mountains. These are some of the photos from our journey.

Thanks for sharing your awesome photos! I haven’t made it to Oregon yet, but it’s definitely a “Some Day Destination” for me – especially after seeing it through your lens.

Great article. I like how photos are both in the forest and outside of the forest.

Fantastic overview of the area, as Colten stated in their remark, nice that you snapped within as well as outside the tree line.
I love the Oregon coast – always rich with flora/fauna and dramatic.
