Filmed by documentary filmmaker and videographer Chris Knight, this short, time lapse infused video ignites our wanderlust and makes us yearn for distant lands. He films the dusty streets of Kathmandu, Nepal as the city begins to rub its eyes and wake as the darkness of the night begins to yield, giving way to the orange disc of the sun which wanders skyward behind the tightly packed buildings.
Home to about 1/12 of all the people of Nepal, this bustling city in central Nepal is nestled within the bowl-shaped Kathmandu Valley at an elevation of 1400 m (4,600 ft), surrounded by four major mountains: Shivapuri, Phulchoki, Chandragiri, and Nagarjun.
