Is this a vacation? Erik Boomer, Tyler Bradt, Galen Volckhausen, Tim Kemple, Anson Fogel, Blake Hendrix and Skip Armstrong hunt the remote Mexican jungle for the perfect waterfall…and the perfect shot. Paddler and cinematographer alike explore a world beyond the expected.

From Forge Motion Pictures & NRS comes Cascada, an incredible short paddling film that captures perfectly the art and soul of human bravery and perhaps craziness. While there may be no sensible reason to weather torrential rain and swarms of insects in the painfully beautiful and lush jungles of Veracruz, Mexico only to then throw your body off a towering, thundering wall of water while sitting in a small kayak that offers little in the way of protection, perhaps no sensible reason is reason enough. Sometimes crazy things just need to be done, mostly to prove something to ourselves.

Videographers Anson Fogel and Skip Armstrong transformed what could have been merely an amazing display of whitewater and waterfall kayaking action into an absolute masterpiece of outdoor filmmaking. The jungle comes alive and the waterfalls seem to explode through the screen as Erik Boomer, Tyler Bradt, and Galen Volckhausen display their superhuman paddling skills.

Wow – such an incredible video, the camera set-up to get those shots is unbelievable. The jungles of Mexico are definitely not an easy place to film in…or drag kayaks through.
