Perspective, Wardak Province, Afghanistan

It is places like this that truly reveal the best of nature. Her giant rock walls hailing from the past still stand even as our human constructs crumble before her. Offering her eternal love and guidance she brings us a tree forth in the shape of a heart, forever cementing the power of love and forgiveness in our souls.
I’m currently working in Logar and Wardak Provinces, Afghanistan with an Agricultural Development team, conducting a variety of air and ground operations in order to support the reconstruction and agricultural development along the Afghanistan – Pakistan border. I use a Nikon D90 for landscapes, and perpetually have a waterproof Pentax WG-1 in my pocket for spontaneous shots. For editing I use a variety of Mac based programs (Lightroom, Photoshop, Snapseed, and ColorSplash Studio). My photoblog showcases the rugged beauty of Afghanistan, highlighting the humorous/mischievous side of things over here.
