Dunnottar Castle, Scotland

Following a steep path toward the ocean, you may see rabbits, flowers, and a pretty waterfall. Dunnottar Castle is a medieval fortress on Scotland’s north-east coast, approximately two miles south of Stonehaven. The surviving structures spread out over three acres date from the 13th-17th century, but the site is thought to have been an early fortress of the Dark Ages.
