Monument Valley (Navajo: Tsé Bii? Ndzisgaii, meaning valley of the rocks) is a region of the Colorado Plateau famed for its cluster of large sandstone buttes, the tallest reaching 1,000 feet above the valley floor. Located on the Arizona-Utah state line, Monument Valley lies within the Navajo Nation Reservation.
