Steaming Namib, Namib Desert near Swakopmund, Namibia

This photo taken on a flight in 2006 shows the mist over the Namib Deser near Swakopmund.

The Namib is a very “empty” desert regarding plant life, but near the South Atlantic Coast there can be very heavy morning mist as in this photo.
