The cold, yet vividly blue-green waters of the Pacific Ocean crash against the cliffs of Mendocino, California. Perhaps the most beautiful town in Northern California, Mendocino has remained small over the years, with a population of around 900. The streets are dotted with coffee shops, art galleries, and bed and breakfasts, making it a popular vacation getaway for those drawn to the allure of Northern California’s foggy coastline.
Surrounding the town on three sides, Mendocino Headlands State Park is free to visit and easy trails meander through the park along the coastal bluffs and through fields of golden grasses and blackberry brambles.
Amazing blue Pacific water – it looks almost tropical until you see the fog! California is one of those places you have to visit again and again!
