Mouth of the Matanuska Glacier, Alaska, United States

Matanuska is a 27 mile long, 4 mile wide valley glacier, flowing just about a foot per day. It is located about 100 miles northeast of Anchorage, Alaska.
This part of the glacier is hidden behind ice-walls, but crossing that wall totally worth it. Crampons are recommended; however, some of my friends managed to cross it with their normal hiking boots – that shirtless guy is one of them.
