This image was taken just before sunrise in Torres del Paine National Park in southern Chilean Patagonia; the sun only gave a soft red blush before disappearing in clouds..the wind was blowing close to 60 knots at times. There are very difficult shooting conditions because of the sharp granite scree on the slopes, but it is an area of stark but incredible beauty at times.
