Lijang River, Yangshuo, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China

This photo was taken on a raft-trip from Gullin to Yangshuo on a cold December afternoon in 2010. It was shot with a Canon 7D with a Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 at f/5,  1/2500, at ISO 100

Originating in the Mao’er Mountains in Xing’an County, the Lijang (or Li) River flows to the south through Guilin, Yangshuo, and Pingle. Merging in Pingle with two additional rivers, it continues on its southern course as the Gui River which in turn flows into the Xi Jiang River in Wuzhou, the Pearl River’s western tributary.
