I took this photograph on a memorable early morning hike in New Zealand around Lake Matheson. Located on the South Island near Fox Glacier, the lake has magnificent views of Mt. Cook and Mt. Tasman.
At this moment, the fog was lifting, the air was still and the sun cast a perfect light on the lake to create this beautiful mirrored reflection.
A breathtaking and serene photographic moment that I will always remember.

This is breathtakingly beautiful. Perfect. We read about the beauty of this lake and knew it all when we went there. Unfortunately we had fog and drizzle – so thank you for showing what it can look like there- Magical!
