Located in the Midway Geyser Basin of Yellowstone National Park, the Grand Prismatic Spring is the largest hot spring in the United States and the third largest in the world. If you visit Yellowstone in late September the air temp may be very cool. Since the water is(near) boiling this creates a sulfur dioxide and steam fog. There’s nothing you can do about that, so enjoy the effect.
