The jagged rock peaks of the Chisos Mountains rise above the desert floor in Big Bend National Park, one of the largest, most remote, and least-visited national parks in the continental US. Compared to Yellowstone’s 4 million & the Grand Canyon’s 5 million annual visitors, Big Bend typically receives fewer than 400,000 visitors and during many parts of the year the park is very empty – a perfect place to escape the crowds in this rugged landscape.
