Glad to be Home, Cades Cove, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Tennessee
Photograph by Chris Schultz
I took this picture (well, these four pictures) at Cades Cove, Tennessee. Cades Cove is a neat valley nestled in the Smoky Mountains. You can see quite a few historical buildings, white-tailed deer, and a very nice vista all throughout the valley.
My family and I had camped in the national park the night prior to the morning I took the pictures, and the fog was low and very photogenic. Deer were everywhere, so I was a bit disappointed that none made it into this picture. On to the technical details…
This is a compilation of 4 shots, stitched together in Photoshop CS6. No editing was done other than the stitching and a bit of cropping. This was shot with a Canon Rebel T1i with the stock 18-55mm lens. f5.6 for the first shot and f3.5 for the next three. All were shot at 1/800 of a second.
