My twelfth day at the Grand Canyon as their Artist in Residence. It is 13° below zero. I head out to see the sun rise. A snow storm moved through the canyon over the weekend. This morning the sun is trying to break through. I like this one because the Bright Angel Fault stands out so clearly.

nature in all its winter glory. the grand canyon is amazing during the winter, spring, summer, and fall – it has no ugly time of year!
