It’s time to get up-close and personal with the great outdoors! Macro photography means extreme close-up photography, often of small subjects. Take a break from your busy life and turn your lens on the smaller things this week; you might be surprised at how ordinary objects in nature are strikingly beautiful when you can see them larger than life in your macro shots. Bugs, feathers, fur, pebbles, water droplets…they sky is the limit on how you choose to interpret this challenge.

In this week’s Wild Weekly Photo Challenge, we’re challenging bloggers to get outside & photograph the very best macro shots! On Wednesday, November 28th (at 2pm EST, so be sure to submit your entries before that time!) we’ll choose 1 judge’s choice winner, 5 runner ups, and 1 audience choice winner & share their entries here on LetsBeWild.com! Send your friends to this page to leave a comment-vote for your entry to win the audience choice award!

Be sure to subscribe to our newsletter by signing up on the right sidebar, so that you can keep updated about the challenge winners and our upcoming challenges!

I’m always amazed at how many different colors these little guys come in – when you’re able to catch them up close like this. I had a couple that I won’t get on in time today because they’re on my home computer — so I will enjoy your happy little dragonfly instead! 🙂

Thanks PJ! Nature provides a plethora of subjects! One just needs to stop and take the time to find what is hiding amongst the petals of a flower!

Hi Dell! The shot you’ve titled “Rain Dance” is just beautiful!

As to your question, I am no expert by any stretch of the imagination, but trying to offer advice in any case: When you are logged into your blog’s dashboard, go to the “SETTINGS” option and then “SHARING”; right at the bottom of that page you may have an option like I have that reads “WordPress.com Likes are” and you can then tick the option “On for all posts”. Otherwise you may find something of use on the wordpress support page: http://en.support.wordpress.com/. Holding thumbs that you will have it sorted out in no time.

      Regards, Dries
