Escape – for some it’s the aching pull of the open road that tugs at every fiber of their being, whispering to them to throw a bag in the trunk and set off to destinations unknown. Others find escape lying in the grass at the local park on warm days, the green stems tickling their legs and arms as they stare upwards at the clouds wandering the sky. Some find escape in a weekend getaway with their family, watching their children or grandchildren splash through the waves with a look of pure happiness on their faces.
In this week’s Wild Weekly Photo Challenge, we’re challenging bloggers to photograph what they feel best represents escape for them! On Wednesday, October 31st (at 2pm EST, so be sure to submit your entries before that time!) we’ll choose 1 judge’s choice winner, 5 runner ups, and 1 audience choice winner & share their entries here on LetsBeWild.com! Send your friends to this page to leave a comment-vote for your entry to win the audience choice award!
Be sure to subscribe to our newsletter by signing up on the right sidebar, so that you can keep updated about the challenge winners and our upcoming challenges!

This challenge really had me wrack my brain, but I knew with over 5,000 photos that I have taken, maybe it’s more like 10,000, I came up with this entry!

For sure, you have plenty of incredible images, and your selection for this week’s escape was a great entry! Just arrived at the oldest hacienda in Ecuador, and I suspect I will glean some great material to reflect ‘escape.’
congratulations on the people’s choice!

Great photos. The swaying palms, white sand beach, and rain-cloud background have provided an escape, for my mind anyway. Love the floating island as well, what better way to escape! Your own island.
