Green – the color we associate with life, nature, and Spring is the theme for this week’s Wild Weekly Photo Challenge! As luck would have it, the human eye can differentiate more shades of green than any other color, so get outside this week and find something green! Maybe it’s grass, perhaps the leaves of a tree just putting out its first leaves of Spring. Maybe it’s a green rock, glistening in the shallow water of a river. Whatever it is, we can’t wait to see what you come up with in this challenge!
On Wednesday, February 6th (at 2pm EST, so be sure to submit your entries before that time, even at 1:59pm!) we’ll choose 1 judge’s choice winner, 5 runner ups, and 1 audience choice winner & share their entries here on LetsBeWild.com! Send your friends to this page to leave a comment-vote for your entry to win the audience choice award!

Wonderful photos!
I liked your “critters”!
Such adorable animals and lush greenery!
This photo of an Arizona lake, taken from a Blackhawk helicopter high above the Air Force Pavehawk rescue helo, is my idea of green outdoors, and it was certainly an adventure, hanging out the door as we zipped along at a speed that was dizzhing. http://charlieray45.wordpress.com/2013/02/07/wild-weekly-photo-challenge-green/.
By the way, the instructions said title the entry “Wild Weekly Photo Challenge – Flowers” which I assume should have said ‘Green’ instead.
Love the color!!
Thank you again for honoring me with the award for the Audience Choice on last week’s challenge!
Here is my submission for this week! I was lucky enough to find all sorts of green right outside my door!

Thank you, yes, it’s a lovely morning view!
Thank you, I was very pleased to receive the honourable mention last week from a really great group of photos. So here is my selection for green…
Green is a great theme it is every where. I have chosen to contrast New Zealand green with our greens in Australia.

especially enjoyed the New Zealand farming country photo
This was fascinating to see side by side. I particularly liked the photo of Aotearoaβs rain forest, and would love to see it for myself someday.
Aloha everyone! I’m a first time participant from Hawai’i

I can’t decide which I like more – froggy flowers or mama bird. π
Thank you Jody π I always think that the froggy sitting there having no idea he has a flower on his nose is pretty funny π
Love all your pics, Lynda. That Camo Frog looks so cheeky. π Good luck.
Thank you Sylvia!
Here’s my contribution to this week’s theme. There’s not a lot of green in San Diego, so it’s always great to spot some!
http://milkapejovic.com/2013/02/12/lets-be-wild-weekly-photo-challenge-green/
Each time I thought one was spectacular, the next one drew me in further. Lovely.
Thank you so much, Jody! I’m glad you enjoyed my selection of photos.
I can’t decide which I like most, the frosted leaves or the spider webs. Great shots!
Thanks, Chris!
Ggorgeous close-ups of the plants lightly dusted with dew and frost.
Thank you! I added links to the posts with more photos of frost in the original post.

I like the artichoke-looking plant thing. π
Ah! I didn’t see this until today, and I didn’t make a post specifically for this contest, but I did put the html in the post (in post). π
Here’s mine! Quite a bit of green, but perhaps it would have been more apt to work for last week’s contest.
