Wild Weekly Photo Challenge #16 - Now!

The theme for this challenge is pretty simple – Now! While all our other challenges have allowed you to go back through your archives and select the most appropriate photos, this challenge theme is all about heading outside this week & taking photos! After all, LetsBeWild.com is all about getting people outside and enjoying the great outdoors….so what better time than now? Be creative and go exploring, and remember, the shots for this challenge have to be taken this week!

On Wednesday, January 30th (at 2pm EST, so be sure to submit your entries before that time!) we’ll choose 1 judge’s choice winner, 5 runner ups, and 1 audience choice winner & share their entries here on LetsBeWild.com! Send your friends to this page to leave a comment-vote for your entry to win the audience choice award!

Be sure to subscribe to our newsletter by signing up on the right sidebar, so that you can keep updated about the challenge winners and our upcoming challenges!

Thanks again to the folks at LBW for this photo challenge!

    • Good picture contrasting the old to the new shown in the seed pod and emerging bud on the liquid amber tree. You also captured some nice detail in the fungus and wood bark shots. Thanks.

      • Thank you PJ! I thought it was a nice contrast of old and new too! Love the fungus!

    • Fantastic shots of fungus, I liked textures, light and capricious forms

      • Thank you! I took some more photos today, as the drizzle stopped and I think the lighting was pretty good! Thank you for commenting here and for signing up to follow my blog!

    • Wow! The colors that you capture in your shots are amazing. Just strolling through the woods, it’s so easy to miss the vivid colors in nature. Bark isn’t just brown. It’s pink and red and orange and salmon and cream and gray and azure and cobalt and white and green and…I’m sure I’m missing some. You bring it all to life with your camera! Thanks!

    • My favorite in this batch is “Layers.” The fungus looks like velvet. Beautiful.
