There are so many ways to enjoy nature. Some choose to relax in nature in solitude, like the lone guitar player pictured above, strumming in the mouth of a sea cave on the rocky shores of a Northern California beach. Others prefer to experience nature with friends, hiking and camping and taking in the sights and sounds of the great outdoors with a few companions. Some like to get their adrenaline flowing with adventure sports like surfing, hang gliding, rock climbing, and scuba diving. Whatever your favorite ways to interact with nature are, we’re asking you to capture them for this challenge!
On Wednesday, January 23rd (at 2pm EST, so be sure to submit your entries before that time!) we’ll choose 1 judge’s choice winner, 5 runner ups, and 1 audience choice winner & share their entries here on LetsBeWild.com! Have a great week!
Enjoyed your entries as they do capture people in nature well. Looks as though the photo with the dog captured the dog’s love of snow as well, is that a smile on his face?

Here’s my take on this week’s challenge: http://takingtotheopenroad.com/2013/01/18/wild-weekly-photo-challenge-people-in-nature/
I love diving and being in the water, but for every action we take, there is a consequence and being in such close contact with nature underwater can sometimes result in the wildlife – the very thing we dive to see – disappearing.
My contribution can be found at http://wp.me/pDHrD-1VU. I wish you alla a great weekend!
great!!!
Great to be back and able to enter! Enjoyed looking through everyone’s ‘scary’ entries as well. http://thethingwithfeathers.net/2013/01/19/wild-weekly-photo-challenge-people-in-nature/

Having already posted a selection, and realising that I rarely take photos of people who aren’t family or friends, I made an effort to consciously observe and photograph ‘randoms’ as my daughter says, at the beach, having spent the past two evenings enjoying the beauty of the beach here in Queensland. So here is a second series 🙂

Just beautiful!
Fantastic photos. The one with the bird on the hand is sweet, and the snowy ones are magical.
Amazing photos! How is it that the bird landed on the fellows hand?
When I clicked on your link, it comes up saying that the blog cannot be found. But looking at your site when I click on your name – you have some amazing photos of people in nature! Great photos!

Super shots!
When one clicks on the photo of the Grand Canyon, it is truly amazing to see those folks standing on that point! Great photos, and when did you snap that shot of me laying in the desert to take a photo of those pillars in the background? Hee hee! 🙂
I think this is a great idea for the challenge this week!
