Driving home today, I decided to take a detour through to Mt Mee in south east Queensland. What is incredible about this road is the stunning scenery, greenery and views of the distant Glass House Mountains. On a very clear day, the ocean of the Sunshine Coast and Bribie Island can be seen. Heavy summer rains has provided lush green bushland and farmland for as far as the eye can see.

This view is a great choice for the challenge, with not only distant cattle grazing, but also the beautiful Glass House Mountains, a range of extinct volcano cores formed more than 26 million years ago!

Jess shows us the distant landscape of Stewart Island in New Zealand – what an amazing view!

Stewart Island, or Rakiura, is New Zealand’s third largest island and lies 30 kilometres south of the South Island across Foveaux Strait.  On a clear day you can look out from Bluff Hill and see the hills off in the distance.  The various hues of blue portraying the stillness of Foveaux Strait on the beautiful Southland day.  Believe me it is not always so!
